We performed excerpts from Panama Hotel Jazz at the September 14, 2022 ribbon-cutting ceremony for the restoration of the Tsutakawa gates at the Seattle Arboretum.
On September 11, 2022, I accepted the award for Historical Record of the Year from the Jazz Journalists Association because of my role in finding the source tape for John Coltrane: A Love Supreme, Live in Seattle.

Steve Korn recorded videos of several folks telling stories of their experience during the pandemic. Darin Faul used these stories in a patchwork virtual music performance by his students. Here’s my story.
